Dr. Wenicur uses Laser-Assisted Periodontal Therapy (LAPT) and Laser Bacterial Reduction (LBR) procedures to comfortably and efficiently treat gum disease.

LAPT is a safe and effective method of treating gum disease and works by decontaminating areas of disease with laser energy. The procedure reduces inflammation and bacterial growth in periodontal pockets, promoting healing and tissue regrowth. LAPT combined with deep cleaning keeps gum disease under control.

Dr. Wenicur also uses LBR to help treat gum disease. LBR can be performed by Dr. Wenicur’s hygienists at any regular cleaning appointment. The procedure uses low power laser energy to eliminate the bacteria that cause gum disease and gum recession.
